Biography

Dr. Imburgia brings over 15 years of research experience, with a focus on HPV related cancer epidemiology, prevention, and screening. Her past research includes community based participatory research, women's health, HIV, STIs, pregnancy prevention, child and adolescent behavior, gender studies, and child welfare. She is a member of the IU Center for HPV Research and has published over 20 peer-reviewed manuscripts. As a lifelong Hoosier, she is deeply committed to the health and welfare of her Indiana community.

She is thrilled to be working with Dr. Michele Cote in the cancer center as she develops grants and manuscripts during her fellowship.
