At the Fairbanks School of Public Health we are advancing the health of Indiana through education, innovation and leadership.
Our academic programs have nimbly adapted to meet the needs to today’s students. We offer online and residential programs for learners at the bachelor, master and doctoral levels. With students on the Indianapolis, Fort Wayne and virtual campuses, we are preparing future health leaders with rigorous and intellectually challenging course work.
Working closely with practitioners and policymakers have allowed us to contribute to unprecedented public health changes in Indiana. There is still work to be done, but our connections to the Indiana Department of Health, the Marion County Public Health Department, local hospitals, health-related companies, and nonprofit organizations have laid the groundwork for our faculty, staff, students, and graduates to catalyze essential change in Indiana and beyond.
Through their research, our faculty are creating innovative public health and health administration solutions that will advance our knowledge and spark societal improvements in health and wellbeing. In much of our work, we are striving to eliminate health disparities and improve how health services are delivered.
As interim dean, I cannot truly express how proud I am of our students. They often work full-time jobs on top of pursuing academic careers and sometimes juggle caring for family members or raising children. Many of our students are first generation students. And our faculty and staff have tirelessly worked to improve processes and create a welcoming environment for all.
I invite you to learn more about our school by exploring our website. The work our faculty, staff, students and alumni are doing is truly inspiring. I believe that when we work together to remove barriers we can change the health of Indiana and beyond.
Sincerely,
Nir Menachemi, PhD, MPH
