Frequently asked questions
FSPH is not a competitive admission school. All students who meet the outlined admission criteria will be admitted.
You can apply any time if you have met all admission criteria. FSPH will review your application at the end of the semester once the deadline closes.
Note: FSPH verifies GPA at the time of the posted application deadline.
You will receive an admission decision via IU email within three weeks after the posted application deadline.
You will receive information on your next steps with your admission decision. As a part of this process, an advising hold will be placed on your account. You will need to schedule and meet with your new FSPH advisor to discuss your admission, interests and goals. After this appointment is completed, your hold will be removed.
If you have not met all FSPH admission criteria, you are encouraged to declare the pre-major. As a pre-major, you can still take most of your major-based coursework while working towards FSPH admission. Once all admission criteria are met, you can reapply.
IU Indianapolis students can declare the pre-major through University College.
IU Fort Wayne students should work with the academic advisor to declare the pre-major.
Please contact an undergraduate FSPH advisor if you have questions regarding your FSPH application or admission.
