COVID-19 ECHO Launches with Over 300 Providers in Attendance
Indiana University researchers and clinicians are helping the state's health care workforce respond to the COVID-19 pandemic by providing free virtual training focused on issues related to the novel coronavirus. The first training session of the new "Indiana COVID-19 Response ECHO," which began April 1, was attended by more than 300 health care workers from 61 counties -- 52 of which are in Indiana -- across nine states.

FSPH Faculty Supports Health Department in COVID-19 Response
Faculty member and alumna, Shandy Dearth, MPH’02, has spent most of her career focusing on infections disease surveillance and emergency preparedness planning and response. In response to the COVID-19 outbreak, the Fairbanks School of Public Health is proud of how Shandy has utilized her training and expertise to support the Marion County Public Health Department, and bridge the gap between available resources.
FSPH Student Responds to State Department’s Call for Volunteers
Whitney Whitfield is a senior at the Fairbanks School of Public Health. When she received news that the Indiana State Department of Health needed extra support in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Whitney couldn’t resist the opportunity to support Hoosiers.

IU Health has launched a virtual clinic to offer individuals in Indiana regardless of age free Coronavirus (COVID-19) screenings using the IU Health Virtual Visit app. Staffed 24/7 with IU Health physicians, advance practice providers and registered nurses, the clinic will screen patients from home, potentially eliminating the need to visit physician offices, urgent cares or emergency departments.
