The Center for Health Policy provided detailed recommendations for Marion County's reopening plan. The team sought to make recommendations that achieved two broad policy goals: 1) assure the health of the community and 2) alleviate individuals’ and the community’s economic hardships.

Professor Ross Silverman and his coauthors outline the legal, ethical, public health and policy considerations states should consider prior to the development, approval and distribution of a COVID-19 vaccine. Administration should be safe and effective to support and encourage broad vaccine uptake and maximize protection for society’s most vulnerable populations. The authors discuss how similar concerns should be reviewed by federal health and criminal justice programs.

IU Health has launched a virtual clinic to offer individuals in Indiana regardless of age free Coronavirus (COVID-19) screenings using the IU Health Virtual Visit app. Staffed 24/7 with IU Health physicians, advance practice providers and registered nurses, the clinic will screen patients from home, potentially eliminating the need to visit physician offices, urgent cares or emergency departments.
