FSPH Professor Contributes to Assessment of U.S. Response to COVID-19
A new report, Assessing Legal Responses to COVID-19, recommends steps to safeguard health as well as civil and human rights in light of COVID-19. It also offers recommendations on how federal, state and local leaders can better respond to COVID-19 and future pandemics.
The assessment was authored by 50 top national experts, including Ross Silverman, professor of health policy and management at the Fairbanks School of Public Health.
Alumnus Shares How Pandemic Proves Telemedicine Useful for Patients
Asad Zaman, MHA’12, has served as the Director of Transplant Services for three years at the Hillman Center for Pediatric Transplantation at UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh. Prior to the pandemic, most of Zaman’s meetings revolved around regulatory awareness and readiness for his team’s collaborative pediatric transplant programs.
Zaman was prepared to shift quickly and think outside of the box when reconsidering the practices’ traditional working methods; preparation he thanks the MHA program at the Fairbanks School of Public Health for.

Fall 2020 COVID-19 Mitigation Testing for Students, Faculty & Staff
A robust testing program is vital for maintaining the health and safety of the IU community during the ongoing pandemic. Throughout the semester, students, faculty and staff will be selected for mitigation testing. It's vital that, if selected, you participate so we can continue to actively manage the pandemic and keep our IU community as safe as possible.

IU Health has launched a virtual clinic to offer individuals in Indiana regardless of age free Coronavirus (COVID-19) screenings using the IU Health Virtual Visit app. Staffed 24/7 with IU Health physicians, advance practice providers and registered nurses, the clinic will screen patients from home, potentially eliminating the need to visit physician offices, urgent cares or emergency departments.
