Dr. Tanisha Ford will present a keynote lecture about her NAACP Image Award-winning book Our Secret Society: Mollie Moon and the Glamour, Money, and Power Behind the Civil Rights Movement, chronicling the story of a Black woman socialite who raised significant amounts of money for the Civil Rights Movement through fashion shows. Following the lecture, Dr. Ford and Dr. Tyrone McKinley Freeman will discuss fundraising and activism across American history and current challenges faced by Black women and Black-led nonprofits doing liberation work. Tunnel of Awareness

Tunnel of Oppression is now Tunnel of Awareness. New name, but same great interactive theatre experience featuring student-researched scenes presented by professional actors to foster discussion. Themes include repatriation of indigenous artifacts, incarceration as modern-day slavery, youth displaced by war, and language barriers in health care.
Each day is a new experience:

- Tunnel of Awareness Screenings: Nov. 7 in Campus Center Theater
