FSPH Student Volunteer Corps

Eskenazi Health Scholars

Students in our Eskenazi Health Scholars program receive hands-on training in the health system while pursuing dual degrees in our Master of Health Administration and Master of Public Health.

Scholars are mentored by a senior administrator in the organizational responsibilities, career development, and professional networking. Each scholar will also complete a major project and a full summer internship working on a real-world challenge that Eskenazi Health is facing.

Eli Lilly Enhanced Epidemiological Fellowship

Students who receive the Eli Lilly Enhanced Epidemiological Fellowship will focus on examining population health in pharmaceutical drug development and commercialization while developing applied analytical skills.

Students receive career coaching and business guidance in the pharmaceutical industry and scientific mentorship related to research opportunities at Lilly. They will also receive hands-on experience at Lilly through their internship and capstone experiences.

Infection prevention

The Fairbanks School of Public Health is partnered with IU Health and Parkview Health to offer a new training opportunity for master’s level students interested in a future career in infection prevention and control.

During these courses, students are offered a paid internship while receiving training and hands-on instruction from infection preventionists at a local hospital.
